Jun Liu, MD, PhD, is an attending physician in transfusion medicine and Medical Director of the Cellular Therapies Service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a faculty member within the Mass General Brigham system. She is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
Her clinical work spans apheresis, cellular therapy collections, and blood banking, with a particular focus on building and overseeing cellular therapy programs. In parallel, she leads and co-leads research on hematopoietic progenitor cell collection efficiency, and beta-hemoglobinopathy therapeutics. She also directs the Apheresis Research Core, which supports more than 30 clinical trials that involve apheresis-based collections and interventions.
