Leana Rahman has nearly 40 years in Transfusion Medicine at a top academic medical center. She earned her BSMT from University of Santo Tomas (Manila, Philippines) and MPH from New York Medical College.
As Blood Bank Manager (1998–2021) and Assistant Director of Quality & Informatics (2021–2023) at Montefiore Medical Center, she ran multi-campus labs. Leana rolled out automation, SafeTrace Tx/Blood Track software, Epic integrations, budget management and was in charge of regulatory compliance.
Today, as head of Kalidad Healthcare Consulting, she shares her knowledge of Blood Bank in operations, quality management, and informatics to boost patient care.
