Liang Zheng, PhD, Assistant professor, University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Zheng earned his PhD from Hokkaido University in Japan, where he developed a strong foundation in molecular and cellular biology. He completed postdoctoral training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, supported by an American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship, where his research focused on the disease mechanisms underlying thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. He joined the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center in July 2020. His work integrates molecular techniques, animal models, and translational approaches to advance the understanding of blood clotting disorders and vascular disease.
